How big are the images created?

Full-sized photographic images are approximately 10 to 15 megapixels (MP) -- depending on the actual camera used. We use the largest available resolution to produce stunning results with poster sized prints.

What are the advantages of getting digital negatives?

Digital negatives (DNG) are available in selected packages or separately. We highly recommend this option if you ever plan to edit your photographs in the future. Although we provide full-sized, high resolution JPEG images for all services, JPEG images are a "lossy" format and are not well suited for editing (generation loss). In addition DNG files are more akin to RAW format files and thus allow you to change certain key characteristics of the photograph (color, contrast, exposure compensation, etc) that is not available from final JPEGs.
