Are you looking to improve your skills and desire to give people a good value in the process? Joining the SEMIPRO team might be a great fit for you. We are actively seeking photographers, graphic artists, videographers, and other wedding services "semi"-professionals. Photographers

Anyone wanting to join our team as a photographer must demonstrate the following skills:

able to effectively use the your existing equipment proficiently
understanding of lighting, white balance, ISO sensitivity, depth of field in order to produce good exposures
understanding what makes a good composition
able to shoot in RAW format of your camera

We also require the following:

Digital SLR camera -- we really like Canon or Nikon "prosumer" level dSLRs
Good quality glass (lenses)
External flash
Some basic accessories (memory, spare batteries, etc)
General computer skills
Pleasant personality and communication skills

Photographer's Assistant

We often need someone to assist the photographer to help organize and compose shots with the wedding party, as well as help with keeping track of the photographer's equipment. Such a person should have:

a warm and friendly personality
excellent communication skills

Graphic Artists / Photo Editor

Some of our photographers love to spend time behind a camera but not on a computer. If you have photo editing and retouching skills we could use your help. Such a person should have:

very good photo editing skills in Photoshop
understanding of photographic concepts like contrast, white balance, etc
computer system and software for photo editing

Employment Status

SEMIPRO is currently a fairly small operation. Any persons we hire will be treated as an independent contractor (self employeed). We do not handle employment taxes, benefits, etc.
